Have you ever received an e-mail that looks like crap ? I had, I was trying to read it using The Bat!, MS Outlook, and Netscape Messenger, but I cannot read it using this e-mail clients. What do I have to do to read it, was my question. And in couple of hours I wrote a simple program that encodes message files from one charset encoding to another. Well, now lets speak about features that Recoder supports:

1. User defined characters tables
2. Unlimited word replace
3. Limited command line switches support

User defined characters tables

Recoder supports the following format of translation tables:
first character is a character to replace and second character is a character which will be placed instead. Recoder can also use translation tables that is supplied with The Bat!. You can download this translation tables here:

Unlimited word replace

Recoder can replace unlimited number of words, Recoder can also add file date, file time or current date or time to you documents, go to http://andysoft.2000.ru/software/ and take a look at bottom of site pages, there you`ll see phrase "Last updated at " it was done with Recorder !.Tired of cuttin` and pastin` Linkexchange code to your pages ?. Just add something like %LEBANNER%, and start Recoder Go to options and add replace for word %LEBANNER% to you banner code. Then press start button and enjoy, your word will be replaced with your banner code.

Limited command line switches support

Once you started Recoder and set up your options you can start Recoder with switch S, Recoder will perform all operations and will terminate itself. Example recoder.exe S . Please note that command line switch must be typed in upper case or nothing will happen.

Final Notice

When you use this program specify different target and source folders or your files will be truncated to zero ! Your comments are always welcome, drop me a letter if you want to.
